Dear church family,
The elder board of the church has been faced with some important decisions to make in light of the COVID-19 situation. As many of you know, the government is taking measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, one of which is to forbid any and all gatherings of 250 or more. However, our local county government has also imposed some regulations on gatherings of smaller than 250 – regulations that include the requiring of our discouraging of the elderly from attending, and making sure that people aren’t closer than 6 feet from one another for more than 10 minutes. We are required to enforce these, and other, regulations if we meet – regulations that the board feels we are not prepared to enforce, as they are either difficult or impossible, given our circumstances and resources. We do not know how these regulations will be enforced, but we must assume that they will be enforced. For this reason, the board of elders has decided to make this coming Sunday’s service livestream only. This decision is made with the intent of protecting the well-being and health of our congregation and community.
Please do plan on joining us online at 10:45 am on Sunday morning. We will be sure to post a link here on our church’s Facebook page. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email/private message any of the board members.
